How & why to double-sleeve.

Double-sleeving is optional but recommended. If you want an extra layer of protection, here's how. By covering the card from both ends, you help keep dust and moisture away from your card. Double-sleeving also prevents your card from moving around as much in the sleeve, or in your binder or a toploader.

    Inner Sleeve First

    Slide your card into a Strawberry sleeve first with the opening facing upwards.

    Outer Sleeve Second

    Then place your sleeved card into a larger sleeve like Galaxy, Palette, or Mint Choc, with the opening facing down.

Protects from both ends. Keeps dust out, reduces movement and protects against scuffs and scratches.

a note on PVC.

Rigid PVC and soft PVC behave differently. Here’s what that means for storing your photocards.

rigid PVC

Generally fine

Rigid PVC is what most toploaders are made from. Unlike soft PVC, it typically contains little or no plasticisers, so migration is much less of a concern.

We still recommend sleeving your photocard before putting it in a toploader, especially for long-term storage, and advise against PVC sleeves and binder pages.

soft PVC

Keep it outside

Soft PVC uses plasticisers to stay flexible, which can migrate over time. Avoid putting photocards directly into soft PVC or using it for long-term storage.

Our toploader carry holders are soft PVC, but are intended to go over your decorated toploader, never directly around your photocard.
