why double-sleeve?

Double-sleeving your cards is the best way to keep them safe. By covering the card from both ends, you prevent dust and moisture from getting to the surface of the card. Double-sleeving also prevents your card from moving around as much in the sleeve, or in your binder or a toploader.

  1. 01

    Inner Sleeve First

Slide your card into a Strawberry sleeve first with the opening facing upwards.

  2. 02

    Outer Sleeve Second

Then place your sleeved card into a larger sleeve like Galaxy, Palette, or Mint Choc, with the opening facing down.

Complete protection both ways. No dust, no slipping out, no scratches.

a note on PVC.

There's PVC, and there's PVC. Here's the short version of what's safe and what to avoid.

rigid PVC

Generally fine

Rigid PVC (99% of toploaders) is stable, inert and generally safe for long-term storage. That said, PVC-free toploaders are something we care about and are actively looking into.

In the meantime, we still recommend sleeving your cards before loading them, because while the risk is low, it isn't zero.

⚠ soft PVC

The one to watch

Soft PVC is the one to watch out for. The plasticisers in soft PVC can migrate and damage finishes (like the finish on your cards) over time.

Every Kkumi sleeve is 100% cast polypropylene, which means they're entirely PVC-free and acid-free.
